Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to fire up my new Powermatic planer/molder for the first time this weekend.  Gonna get some 220 wiring done, and see how she performs.  I'm wondering if there are any other Powermatic users out there--I'd love to hear what you think, particularly of the molding features.  I was thinking about buying just a planer, but fortunately at the time had the extra cash to upgrade to the molder.  I've never had any experience with a molder, and I don't think I fully appreciate the possibilities, which is why I'll keep tabs on this forum!

Hi Dan M,

I don't have one but we are considering getting a router and router table to make some T&G flooring and cabinets. Let us all know how it works.

I've got a 12 1/2" belsaw planer molder. Works great at both planing and molding. I think you'll be impressed when you make your first molding. It still amazes me to to see a board go in and a beautful piece of molding come out in one pass. Just take your time and set up properlly.
