I was watching a show last night about log home mansions. There was a guy on there that built his Texas log mansion himself, over 6-7 years. Said he used over 6000 trees from his area, within a 20 miles radius, and milled them all by hand on his mill. Next scene shows him running a big woodmizer. I didn't see what model but it was on the large end. Beautiful place, cedar and ? (Might have been fir) throughout with the exception of 4 huge oak pillars over 40' as posts. He had did all his arches with a chainsaw also. I think it was on the travel channel. Anyone else seen this? It was impressive to say the least.

Was it extreme log homes? If so I watched that about 2 weeks ago. Beautiful!
I believe the guy is a Doctor?
