Hello:

I live in Dallas, TX and it's been hot and very dry and to make matters worse, my irrigation system is broken.
I have a few oaks and one has some brown leaves that look like they might have been scorched by the sun.
I have started to water it in the meantime as I get my irrigation system repaired.

Is this browning just from the sun or does anyone think it might be a disease?

Thank you,
David

Could just be scorched, or it could be wilt.

You may want to contact someone in the state forestry system to come and look at it, I had someone from the state come out and look at my oak issues.

I just had an irrigation guy come out and fix my line and he said it's heat stress or scorch. The grass and trees will come back, but it will be a while and programmed my system to make it right.

Thanks everyone!
