You know when you get the crud. Yesterday, 10 am.....it hit me. Down hill ever since then.
99.3 temp.
glands in neck swollen.
Joints hurt all over.
Chills and I'm freezing.
Gonna ride it out....wish me luck. ;D
I am even scared to click onto this thread, let alone post something. :o

Are the swolen neck glands those wierd dangly ones we see in the photos? Are you sure its the flu and not the edgeritis that is going around?

For those of you who don't not get it.....you're about as worthless as a pocket on the back of a shirt. :snowball:
Another pill...another nap.....I'll hopefully be back.
You looked awful before! :D
Are you sure that it's the flu? I thought I recalled you were sick a few months ago, too?

Chief likes to poke me....but he knows I'll poke him back. :D
My fever broke last night about 4am. I was sweating like a Goat looking at Brother Been holding a rubber band.
Now I have the Trots. Having to go to the bathroom about twice an hour. I guess this bug is determined to get me from all sides.
Had one member call me this morning.....not to wish me well but wanted to know if I knew his wife. :D :D :D
True story. :D
I never thought I would say it.....it hurts to laugh. :) :) :) Be glad when this ride is over.
Regarding the trots...if you are taking guaifenesin (Mucinex) as an expectorant for chest congestion, the medication could be causing that side effect. Many common cold and flu remedies include this drug.
I really do hope you feel better soon. :)

A spoon full of Colloidal Silver under the tongue for 30 seconds, then swallow seems to be what helps a lot of people.
I guess its finally my turn. I spent several days last week up north looking after my friend Lou after his return from surgery at Mayo, then came home Friday. Got up and went to a home builders show Saturday with Tammy, feeling totally worn out but not sick, then awoke Sunday morning with I guess the Flu. In my Chest and head, aches and pains, hurts to breath, and I have a temp. First I have been sick sick in a very long time.
To get your stomach back on track during or after a flu bug or stomach flu, try sipping some buttermilk. It has loads of good bacteria that help to overpower the nasties in the gut.
You guys that are fighting this crud, don't do like I did. thought I had it licked and went my merry way. Caught it again. Second time around ain't for sissies. :( finally licked it and then the wife came down with it...
Hope I can avoid it...
Sorry to hear you guys are down with it.
Jeff, How is Lou doing with his recovery?
And how is Pete making out with his problems?
I got it last year. I had a lot on the plate and tried to toughen up and work through it. The flu bug turned to pneumonia and the doc insisted on admitting me to the hospital. It took six weeks to get back to normal. I should have gone to the doc much sooner. David and Jeff, hope you're both feeling better soon!
3 year old thread. I hope they are on the mend too.
