This may be a dumb question, but I did a quick search and couldn't find the answer. I'd like to have a thermostat that will take two different settings, one for wood and one for oil. That way I can set the wood temp for a comfortable temperature and set the oil for 50ish just to prevent freezeup if we come home late or the fire goes out.

At my last house I used two separate thermostats for each zone, but I don't really like the look of two thermostats on the same wall. Does anyone make a thermostat like I am thinking of, or am I the only one that wants to do something like this? I'm not worried about the wiring and controls at the boiler, just trying to nail down the thermostat

Thanks for the help.

Look for a "2 stage heating thermostat". That should do what you want.
