Got my long awaited "new to me" dinasaw band sharpener about a month ago. Its about 13 yrs old looks like new, sharpens real well as far as I can tell. (Ive pretty well worn a junk band to nothing playing with various settings, havent cut a stick of lumber yet this year so cannot say for sure how the bands actually cut...)
Question I have for other Dino owners : whats with the voltage? I seem to have to have a tip top truck battery ,on charge preferrably 20 amps,or the thing shuts down. Traced it to somewhere around 11.9 volts right at the grinder switch,if its lower she shuts down. I think its something in the controller(sealed). Greg at Dinasaw indicated it should not do this. Anyone have or not have this issue?

I run mine with a battery charger on the 55 amp start/boost setting. I have also used a battery. I never had a problem with not enough voltage. I would say there is something wrong with your sharpener.
