I stumbled across a debarker for my B20 the other day...and bought it.  :)
From everything I've read here I think it will be a very good investment.
The question I have is about the blade...it didn't have one.
I read somewhere that 8" stack dado blades, or even just 8" saw blades could be used. Anybody doing this?
How sharp do you need to keep the blade on a debarker? I wouldn't think it would have to be too sharp, but I've been wrong before.
Tell me what you've done. Or what you think.

I run 8" dado,  I picked up a cheap set, and just use the the two blades  with one chipper in middle. Let them dull it works better

had to cut off the rub bar a little factory recommend 7-1/4 blades. Been working for me for years now.

Thanks, I guess I'll start looking for a dado set.

mine is just like redbeards pic but i think mine is still the 7 1/4 blades :) in case you didnt notice in the pic you have to turn 1 blade backwards so it doesnt cut to deep and choke the motor out ;)   3 of the cheap carbide 7 1/4 circle saw blades will work fine if you cant find the dado blades just turn the one in the center backwards :) the carbide will last a very long time  :)

Alright, that's good to know. I'll just put some old 7 1/4" blades on to try it out. Thanks

The debarker on my TK  came from the manufacturer with 3 carbide saw blades on it.  As was noted the interior blade (middle one) is reversed but they are just normal saw blades.
Not very fancy but functional.
I have debated on increasing the debarker kerf width with a 4th blade, but have not done it.

Thanks for the information everyone. I'm going to get it mounted on the mill this week (if I can get caught up a little), and see how it does.
I probably should have known it used saw blades, but I didn't. I guess the person I got it from must think I'm a real dummy, because I emailed them and asked if they'd look for the blade for me.  :D

Are there washers/spacers between the blades, or are they just jammed together?

Blade too Blade, debris will load up if there's spacing between blades.

Please add photos of your Debarkers.
I am planning on adding one to my TK-2000
