When I mill ERC I generally avoid as much sapwood as I can but what about AWC? There's not much difference in the appearance between heart and sap in AWC so it will be more difficult to avoid. So, is the sapwood durable enough for: 1) siding?, 2) landscape timbers?

Just shipped out 250 feet of ERC S2S 1" x wide by long, as much sapwood as possible and as free of knots as possible. Says sapwood works best for his fishing lures.  It was fairly hard to come up with that much white wood and we keep thousands of feet of clear cedar on hand for odd orders.

Now back to AWC.
