Title: Quartersawn Sycamore Logs
Post by: Glenn1 on November 04, 2016, 09:51:28 AM
I got a call from one of my loggers saying that he finally found some sycamore for me.  I picked these up yesterday.  I will be quartersawing them so I am not sure how much of the ambrosia will show up but I thought it was worth the effort. (straight cutting the lonely walnut).

Oh, the ambrosia will show up all right, "believe me." I have never seen sycamore with such beautifully consistent ambrosia in it. That log is a real find.
