Sandhill Cranes

Yesturday I heard two flocks of cranes and when I located them in the sky they were flying from the northeast flying to the southwest. I wonder if theres some weather there felling and are getting the H out of Dodge. Ive never remember seeing them this time of year around here.

Saw two up this way last fri fighting the wind and snow squall.

Got to be hard finding dinner right now with all the snow and wind here.

Haven't seen any cranes here yet but the ducks started heading back through, I'll bet by this weekend they'll be heading back south again  :D.  I did see something new the other other morning, 2 eagles were perched out in the field feeding while I was checking cows, I thought great another one sluffed her calf (we've had several this winter) so I drove over to look.  They were having duck for breakfast, never saw that before.
