Another power pole question?

Jeff,

Another option is railroad ties.  We have Grand Trunk rail yard here and they have them piles high and long. 

The older poles around here are cedar and the carvers use them for their chainsaw carving so you maybe able to get all cedar.  If you still need them later let me know and I will see if they yard is still open.

Jeff, Go to the city electric department yard. (not city hall) They usually have a few around. I also get them from Great lakes Energy and Consumers. Don't mention using them for building something as they are worried about liability. Fence post are a good reason to need them. ;)
