Next week we are leaving PA with our 5th wheel camper and heading to New Orleans for a Navy reunion the first week of Sept. After visiting with some FF friends we will leave out of MS about Sept 10th and don't need to be anywhere until early Oct when we have a camper Rally in Goshen, IN. We want to visit Chanute, KS where our camper was built but no exact date. This gives us a few weeks to wander so where in the mid west should we see or avoid?

A real nice drive if you aren't in a hurry is the Natchez trace parkway. Southern end is in Natchez, ms and it ends just south of Nashville tn. There's all manner of short side trips off the trace. The space museum near Huntsville, ala is one that comes to mind.
