Hey Mometal

Is that a sideboom your operating and what,s the make.  I've run 561's, 572's, 583's, 594's, all with live draw works, and the odd one the was hydraulic.  I prefer the live draw works.

Hi, Pep

Live booms are the way to go but they made them illegal to run anymore.  I know most hands who went to other trades. Hydraulic booms are harder to run I hear never ran one but knew a few guys to get into trouble when they could not sell the load. I was told better money is in Alberta not a lot of hands up there can run live booms even on cranes. A good place to learn about sidebooms and what not to do is on youtube.
