Hello All!

I am new so please bear with me.

I am trying to find out somethings about my grandpa's 2 man chain saw.

It is a MERCURY KIEKHAEFER/DISSTON DA 211.

Any information is appreciated.  Thanks!

My 1947 Disston has a Merc twin engine. Not running (that I know of), brought it home and thru it in storage. Neat old units

Disston bought the engines from Kiekhafer (Mercury) for their two man saw. When the latter failed to deliver, Disston started making their own and were unsuccessfully sued by Kiekhafer. The remainder of the engines were installed on Wajax fire pumps, I have one of these in pieces.

Lots of folks have problems with pic posting, usually because they are trying to post directly into a post from their computer. Foresty forum has it's own on-line photo storage system, you have to upload your pics to that. Once pics are in your photo gallery, it's a snap to include them in a post. Click on forum extras button, full instructions there.

Go to your gallery. Go to the picture you want to use. Scroll below it to find the code to use in your post to make your picture appear. Copy that then paste it in your post
