Charlie called me all excited, He had pictures of the Pea trip.  I didn't think we had any.  Talk about an important piece of history, I guess this is it.

Yep, it really happened.  Charlie worked hard on his vacation, in 100o heat and did a good job too; all for peas.  Link to the story Working with Tom   Look at the Pea Spoon

Here is Charlie and the trailer that he was loading.  Much of the material was 20' long and there were many 2x12's. :)

My Boy Tommy rolling another log to the mill.  What a buck! :)

Sawing planks as Tommy watches.  He was running the tractor, skidding logs, and would come help with the mill on his break.

Ok....... I didn't want Charlie to think he was doing it all. :-[ :-/

Great pics. I got to see the spoon Charlie had to carve to eat his peas, when I visited him lately. Poor guy even had to wittle his own eaten stick.  ;D

Good pics, Tom. Thanks. How's the shoulders ??
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

Them ol' black and white pictures look like they belong in the historic milling thread.
