We watched the Animal Planet on 'killer invasives' ..[the python, monitor lizard, giant rat, feral pigs] you Floridians out there, just how threatening are  they, can they be controlled?

Tom

They are very threatening and are already taking a toll on the natural environment.  If it were just the animals, perhaps control could be obtained, but you can't control the Idiot human beings that continue to turn these plants and animals loose.  Pythons in the Everglades are eating gators and deer.  They are just as liable to eat a child if given the opportunity.  I have hog problems right here in my front yard and the Idiot  humans turning them out are still doing it. They are brought from towns south of here and turned loose, trapped by others and taken to hunt clubs in counties to the north.

We have Chinese tallow in every wet spot and are losing our Red Bay to borers that carry the Laurel Wilt disease to the extent that it will be another Dutch Elm, or American Chestnut catastrophe.
