Package says oregon d70, drive link says 72.
Trying to determine if this chain fits any of my saws.

I tried int search and search on here, that got me a head ache.
Anyone have a link or anything related? Thanks.

Input your saws here:
http://www.oregonproducts.com/pro/lookups/selguide.aspx?BusId=OCS&SellReg=USA&LangId=ENG

D70 appears to be 3/8" .050 Full Chisel, maybe Vanguard chain. D70 or S62 looks to be marketing names for retailers - doubt Oregon will list it that way.

Here is D70 at retailer: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Oregon-D70-20-in-Chainsaw-Chain-D70/205816750

You need pitch, gauge and DriveLinks to see if it will fit a certain saw. Some 20" bars take 70 DL, some 72 DL.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried those before asking. The first one gives me lots of part numbers that are no help.
The second wants to sell me a chain that I don't know what it fits.

I guess I am too stupid and spoiled with good dealers and never learned these secret codes.

A guy would think, if a retailer wanted to sell chain they would make it easier.

Post which saws you're trying to fit.

Stihl 034
Husky 51
Husky 55

These are all set up to run the .325
Thanks for your time I appreciate it.

logmason,
That D70 chain is 3/8" Oregon Vanguard chisel chain which is green rated chisel chain but won't fit your .325 saws.
Stick with the .325 chain .

Thanks folks. I'll gift it to my saw man, he'll find a good home for it.

These saws have a lot of hours. I would not attempt to change them up to 3/8s.

Oregons way of labelling certain (always "green") chain for consumers just is a foolish complication of things. A lot of confusion results.
Sticking to the original designations for the chain loops would be much better (72V-70 in this case).

Here they explain what is what; consumer sawchain.

Oregon is easier for me to file sharpen than the other brand where I buy.
I hit nails.

I forgot to mention my other Stihl. It's a 400, but does not turn a chain.
Got it dialed in real good.
Seems like fuel lines are a yearly thing these days.

Which reminds me I need to pick up fuel treatment for the next batch.

Is the saw man your husband?

How long have you been running the Stihl saws?

That's a common observation.

If your gender is wrong in your profile, get it fixed, to avoid further misunderstandings.  ;)
