Can you replace shift forks without pulling whole trans?  Just through top cover?

What model NP are you talking about?

You can take top cover off with shift forks on a NP441 as fitted to a TJ 200 D series skidder.

You should be able to access them through the top cover. Those were suppose to be rebuilt not that long ago from what I was told.

Got it fixed yesterday.  Went in through top.  Was just a bit worn and sticking in third gear.  That  230 is a super easy skidder to work on.
