The last weekend in July .When you leave Bangor Maine up the stud mill road to get to Grand Lake Stream  you wont ever see cleaner water or meaner log trucks.And when you get to the festival;you will see the finest crafts and listen to great Canadian and American music.You wont want to leave.Kenkayak

I am guessing your from ME?   Do you kayak on the grand lake stream?

When I was a kid I remember reading a book about a fella that grew up in ME and became a fishing guide on a lake during summer using canoes, then I think he became a game warden.  Durn, I 'm getting old, can't remember anything else about it.  Wish I could think of the name of it.
