A friend whose father passed away recently is selling some of his old tools. He had a Husky 51 which appears to be in good shape. I've not run it yet, but he is the type who took excellent care of any equipment he owned. I'm going to check it out, but have no idea what the saw might be worth. Assuming it's in good usable shape, can someone give me an idea of a fair price? Also, what would be the closest comparable saw in the current Husky line, and how would this compare in terms of durability, vibration damping, etc.

The saw is for a woman who is looking for her first chainsaw. Weight is more of a concern than power. IF she had the money to buy new, she'd be looking at a Husky 353 or similar weight/power. Will be used for light felling and bucking of firewood (mostly 6" - 12" hardwoods). Does this saw sound like a decent fit?
