Running the 181 today and just happened to look down at the instant it broke the starter rope, about 2-3 inches below the handle.  Put another rope in it, got saw pinched, and looked down on the ground.....there was the handle--same thing twice in five minutes of running!  Anybody ever have this happen?  Any ideas?  I didn't break the rope pulling on it.  Saw just seemed to snap it in two, even while idling.  Help!!!   Dwight

check the metal guide around the hole.sometimes it gets a sharp edge and will cut starter rope pretty quick.
