I'm considering picking up one of these.

I'm trying to decide between the oscillating option:  http://www.jettools.com/us/en/p/22-44-oscillating-drum-sander-kit-with-closed-stand/659006K

I also am looking at the 3hp model:

Can any of you guys provide feedback on these models?  Can the 110V versions be rewired to 220?

I have the non oscillating version like in your 2nd link,  if I was to do it over again I'd invest in the oscillating one from your 1st link.

norm, what sandpaper grit do you run?

There's a big sale this weekend at woodcraft!

well, I got it all set up and have been playing with it.

running 80 grit sandpaper, on this board, I hit it with a random orbital with 220 on it.  It smoothed it out very quickly!
