What size is it?
15 inch....220 volt.
They just took it off the website.
Wow - that's a deal for sure. You gonna sell it for $300?
I have a 20" Grizzly with traditional knives and a 14" bandsaw of theirs, great tools.
This is the planer on Amazon.....I bought it direct from Grizzly.
I think they made a mistake when posting the price.
I got it for $169.00....with shipping it is $328.00
4 of my friends bought one where I live.
They took it off the website pretty quick.
I used PAYPAL if there is some problems.
We'll see what happens.
It weighs 665 pounds.

That had to be some sort of error, I hope you do wind up getting it, if so you got the deal of the year, and it is just starting.
I'm thinking they meant to price it at $1699.
I'll just have to wait and see if they honor it.
don't they by law have to give it to you for that price one time in sams club they had Alaska king crab legs for 2.99lb I got all 50lbs they had went to the check out and a lady says I'm sorry that's not the right price they are 29.99lb I made such a stink I got them for the 2.99lb 8) 8) so don't give in keep insisting on the original price even tell them you will get your lawyer involved ;D hope everything works out
You sure that is not a 24 month lease? :)
The steelex has a 15 x 15 insert head that is better than the Grizzly head from what I understand. :)
It's back on the website now as of 9:24 am.
Just ordered it.
It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.
Here it is.......

I can't find it in their page
I just talked to a rep at Grizzly. She said is was a mistake last night and they would not honor this price.
They will be sending out emails to all buyers that bought this planer last night.
I have a choice....buy it at the sale price of $1769 or cancel my order the I get the email.
She told me to had been taken off the website.
I told her, yes y'all took it off last night BUT now its back on the website this morning.
She was totally surprised and said, You're kidding????
They have disconnected the Amazon and PayPal method of buying this planer at $169.00
I'm not sure if they have to honor my purchase and others at the $169.00 price.
I'll just have to wait.
****NOTE**** I just checked the website and its been taken off again. >:(
Oh well. Thinking about it I don't suspect a goat would fare too well in a battle with a Grizzly anyway. ;D
You should offer them $300.
I tried to buy one and changed my mind when they disabled PayPal option. I figured something was up to begin with, but that clinched it for me.

I don't blame you. I don't send money anywhere unless its through PayPal.
I'll update when I learn something.

I'll take your check Goat. Heck, I will even send you a stamped pre-addressed envelope. ;D
"If it sounds too good to be true................."
Sounds like a class action suit in the makings. Factoring in the pain and suffering not getting the planer, settlement will be around $1M each. After the lawyers take their cut, you will get $300.
That would be stupid. People make mistakes. Companies make mistakes. Nothing wrong with honestly taking advantage of a real deal, but to even consider suing a company over something like that? Not Forestry Forum like At ALL.

:D, $300 sounds about right for the goat.
A law suit, goat suit or Sunday suit never crossed my mind.
It was evidently just a mistake, not labeled mistake but labeled "On Sale Now".
Who wouldn't jump at it. ;D
They may send me a planer or not but other wise it was fun playing..."The Price is Right". :D :D :D
Just got this.

I took that as being sarcastic.. the $300 was the key.
Grizzly must have smelled goat and figured out that something was wrong. I got the cancellation e-mail today, too :).
I figured I was just a click away from getting all my Mississippi walnut planed. :-\

No they figured out you're from Georgia and the planer was coming from OKLAHOMA. :D :D :D
Sorry, we CANNOT fill your order!
I thought they were in Missouri and Washington. :P
He is referring to the football game last night :).

whispered.....shhh......
its a football joke Jim ;D
Oh, did not watch football last night, was too busy trying to find a non existent sweetheart deal on a planer that some buddies told me about.
Next thing you know, you will be getting a kiln. (Note to the Goat: you need to do this...)
Funny you should say that. It's actually on the plan for this year.

My sincerest opologies if this was taken as anything other the total sarcasm that was intended. In hind sight, I should have included laughing imogies to make that more clear, but I assumed that would be implied. Being somewhat new here, I guess my personality is not as established. I would never support the actual suing if a company over something like this. My sarcastic remarks were actually poking fun at the culture and lawyers that propagate such things along with another play on the $300 trademark of the goat. I will try to be more careful in the future.
I got it, treehack, and I thought the fact the lawyers got millions while the goat got $300 ironically, was pretty good humor😂😂😂 Jeff has been fighting off bot attacks and moving the forum to a new server, leaves him feeling kinda like that Waylon Jennings song "Lonesome, Ornery, and Mean" I think 😁😁

While that would be a very real possibility, not the case here. I saw that it may or may not have been a serious suggestion. One just doesn't know for sure unless you have some sort of previous relationship with the poster. In this case, one has to take the post at face value, because that is exactly how Grizzly would take it if they were looking in, and don't bet they are not since their metrics will track back exactly where people were coming from to get to that planer listing mistake and there was a whole lotta clicks on David's link. If I look at a post and do not know what is truly the intent, than there certainly will be many others that might as well. So, being the owner of this Forestry Forum, there are times I am compelled to say something for the best interests of the Forestry Forum. Just doin my job. ;) :)
And you're doing that job well. Thanks for your diligence.
Hey Jeff,
Just a thought, based on the lemons to lemonade idea. What if Grizzly realized just how much traffic was directed to their site from the Forum. Perhaps they could see the value in filling that space at the top that says "This area now available" with a sharp looking advertisement?
Oh and in case you get a call from some guys at "We, Cheat'em, and How" I don't know nothin' about that. :D
That would be nice wouldn't it? Odds are slim. :)
I know you are, Jeff👍🏼 I'm just ribbing ya'😊
