I took this pic while on the farm this afternoon.  Thought I share it.
He's a nice one.

Looks to me like between 9 or 10 inches and good mass at the bases. Can't tell what his hooks look like. Nice picture.

Definitely a buck with lots of character to his horns.

Antelope shed those horn sheaths.  My dog found one last year.  I am fascinated by that process.  I understand (sort of) how a deer or elk can shed antlers and regrow them.  How would this fine billy craft those?  Are they still horns if they shed?

Antelope are often in my "back yard" (rangeland) and I enjoy the company.  Thanks for the picture.  He is a dandy "goat."

I saw that same buck again this morning, this time I had a nicer lens
and spent some time shooting some pics

he's starting to go into rut.  Their vocalizations are interesting.  The photo session
ended with his warning whistle/snort then off they went together.  Hunting season begins here
in about 2 weeks..but it sure is hot 90++ today CBD

Beautiful pics... What are you shooting with?

That is a dandy for sure.  The "character" indicates that he has some age on him.   :)

It's Weird being the Same Age as Old People

The camera is an older canon rebel with 100-400 EF.
It will produce it's best at f8 around 300mm.  That
pronghorn is a great subject to shoot even in hay field.

I couldn't even guess at his age, this band came down
here maybe 6-7 years ago from a larger herd 4 miles away.

At first they would stay for a couple of weeks then leave.
Then a doe dropped her fawns one spring and stayed. The band
is slowly growing.  It was coyotes that pushed them down
I couldn't get to sleep with all the yodeling going on, it was so
loud.  I'm blessed to live in an area with so much wildlife..

WOW!  If you're hunting him and take him you should talk to somebody like Cabelos  ;)

Killing a semi tame critter in a farm field doesn't do much for me.  If
the population gets too big then they will have to be thinned out, but for now
they're just pasture ornaments.  Myself elk is what I hunt ,
fair chase in the timber.

Nice looking critter. Not many of them in my area. :D
