So you have a countertop rotisserie? That is pretty cool, I have never seen one before. We grilled out last night for the first time this spring. Boy was that ever tasty!

Looks good to me, and I do like a good steak occassionally. However, I did have a piece of Haddock for my supper. Fixed it up with some crushed Ritz and butter on top and nuke for 4 mins. Not as good as wild Atlantic Salmon, but I've been turned off that fish farm stuff (tastes like mud).  ;D

I came in and whopped up a pone of cornbread, (now that I finally figured out how to cook it right) :) and cut up some potato's and onions and fried em up, and heated up some corn, and had some home canned tomato's to pour over my crumbled up cornbread, and fried up some SPAM!

It weren't fancy but it was pretty dang good eating!

Wiam...I could have swarn I smelled your steaks cooking up here in Sutton....

I have that same rotisserie, but I've never cooked steak in it. How long do you cook them??

I've only cooked whole chickens, and a pork roast.

We had shake n bake chicken (but I make my own Shake stuff), shredded sweet potatoes cooked w/ onion and garlic, and we had beet greens....mmmmm good!

Sprucebunny when I took the picture it was already getting dizzy.

Patty it is a Ronco.  My dad and his wife gave it to us for Christmas.  We have had steaks, hamburgers, 8lb broiler,  fries,  and pork chops withand without shake and bake.  When we got it I did not think it would see much use.  I usually grill about once averery other week all through the winter.  I hav not used the grill on the porch since I got this. ;D

Blueox I do steak for about an hr, but I like my steak well done as in not pink.  I just sprinke a little home grown (not by me) garlic powder and some onion salt on them.  This was not as quite as tender as the sirloin tip that went in there last night but very good.

Geeeeeeez!  A whole food thread and Grits wasn't mention once!  I just can't let that happen.

Those steaks look mighty good. I bet they smelled even better.  I liked CTATE's meal too...'cept for the Spam.  Don't get me wrong, I'll eat Spam if it's the last thing in the house and someone else bought it.  I'll also eat it if I'm camping.......if that's all there is. ;D

I'm not casting judgement on Spam, but promise me, you won't feed that to me if I ever make it to Mississippi.  ::)  ;D

My idear of a meal while camping is a pan of fried brook trout, atlantic salmon or ruffed grouse smuthered in butter. Heaven forbid, I've ate my fill of hotdogs on some trips.  ::) ;)

The thing is Spam while not exactly one a my favorite foods  for real is kinda like a emergency food when you forgot to take some hamburger of beef or something outta the freezer and thaw it out and then you get to looking through the cabinets and a light bulb goes off in your head and you say AHAH!!!  MEAT!!!!!   :)

It is not bad run through the grinder and mixed with sweet pickles. Makes a passable sandwich spread. but that is about all it is good for. Mom made far too many school lunches with it. :'(
