Yep, I like that stuff,   I really like that stuff.

Sure would like to know who that are. I can't read those words.

They must not be enemy if they were awarded the carekeeping of an M-1 Garand :D

Raider Bill

Tom,
I believe they are the Kings Guards of Norway.

Having been in the corps back in the day i can appreciate how hard that is , and the do a d*** fine job.

Apple farmer

Yes, you are right. It is the Norwegian Royal Guard. You can find more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Majestet_Kongens_Garde
What's really amazing is that they are not professional soldiers training/serving many years, but young men/women serving only one year. I was serving as a computer programmer in the Norwegian Air Force in the High Command in a building adjacent to their camp 22 years ago, so I used to see a lot of them. We also used their indoor rifle range shooting pistol once a week. We used some old but very nice S&W M14 revolvers, known as K38 Masterpiece and the famous SIG P210 9mm semi-auto. Those were the days...

Man I really enjoyed that!!  Brings back memories of watching my son's unit at graduation from basic at Orlando back in '92.  He was a member of the rifle drill team and I have to say they were sharp as a tack!  Made my heart swell with pride and watching this it still does.  But sharp as they were, they had that "Navy swagger", something I can't put into words, but it was something to make me proud to be an American......still does!  God bless our troops.
