How do. Have a question. I have sawyer sawing my cedar. He takes the first pass down to the small end and ends up with typical cedar slabs. Thick down to nothing. He then takes all these to resaw into 1" slabs

Instead of this extra step, can't you just measure up from the small end and divide it, so you end up where you want to be on the small end sawing down to the small end 1" @ a time and not having to put the slabs back on to do that?Read More

I've got my site for my mill leveled up. I have about twenty two tons of crushed concrete for the base. i can't afford a nice poured concrete pad right now but this is what I had my old mill set up on and it was fine. So I built a "castle " for my granddaughters that they requested. It's am octagonal playhouse, 12' in diameter.
I want to saw some beveled lap siding to put on it. I've chosen poplar for the siding,trim, and soffit. My question for ya'll is whether or not I should put it up green, or let it air dry for a few weeks. The siding will be 8" wide with a 2" overlap, allowing for a 6" reveal.
