Blind Veteran Flag

The Veteran Administration operates a training facility for sight impaired veterans. I have a friend who is a sometimes student there. One of the activities there is a craft shop where students are taught to make various useful items, like pen and pencil sets, birdhouses, jewelry boxes, plaques,etc. I have on a couple of occasions donated wood of various types. Last week, they sent me this..


 
NOT a flag painted on a board. Each part is an individual piece of wood, then all glued together, and coated with clearcoat.
Built especially for me by some fellow veterans who have lost their vision, it hangs on the wall of my home in a place of honor.
