ordered my new 2166!

So I ordered my 2166 the other day! Actually my father ordered it for me as a surprise but he can't keep a secret lol it'll be all ported and tuned so it'll basically be a ported 2172! Let's just say I'm excited and can't wait to get it and put her in some big oaks at the job were on now. I've been running his 2171 and his 2186 in the landing and I guess he figured he'd surprise me with my own brand new saw. We've always worked together so I've never had a reason to have my own saw, so let's say I'm super excited to start my own collection. I'm sure one will turn into two then five then ten! I have a feeling my father started something my girlfriend isn't gonna be too happy with! Sorry for all the jibber jabber I'm just so thrilled!  8)

its a jonsered, I sell a lot of the 2166 with the transfer covers modified. it makes them the exact same saw as the 2172

It is the Jonny version of the Husky 365 x-torque.

lol, I was talking to a friend and mentioned seeing this post and found out that he is the one that is suppose to port your saw. im the jonsered dealer that will be sending him the saw to port for you. your welcome  ;D

I'm not being a smart aleck, but how does porting turn a 65cc saw into a 70cc saw?

because a 2166 is not a 65cc saw. they are the exact same piston and cylinder as the 2172. both of them are 70.7 cc. the difference is in the transfer port covers. the 2166 has a built in restrictor making the hp 4.8 on the 2166 and the 2172 is rated at 5.6hp. if you grind the restrictor out of the transfer port cover on the 2166 you now have the same hp as the 2172. at a fair bit of savings.
