if you find your self in a deep hole stop digging
saw logs all day what do you get lots of lumber and a day older
thank you to all the vets

 8) You must have been a good boy this year.  :D Karen's nephew has one that once belonged to his grandfather. It is a really interesting piece, I would be nervous about the recoil. ;D

Recoils not to bad its that 45-120 my brother in-law is building that might be a real kicker  :o

Real nice Goose, the closest I have to the 45-70 is my Marlin 444P.

Nice gun, just don't shoot it under an over-head roof w/o your ears on.

I have a Martini action 45-70. I'd rather shoot it anyday instead of my 1965 Winchester 94 30-30.

Santa brought me three boxes of Hornady Leverevolution in 45-70, 27 a box on sale at Bi Mart. Hornady is all I've shot in mine, and its a smaller shell and lighter bullet so the recoil isn't as bad as what I think the heavy loads would be. Here's a pic of it with a 357mag and 25-20.

terry I don't mind the recoil from the 300 grain H P

its the 45-120 that's gona be a kicker

  45-70 next to 45-120
