I am starting my second timber frame building later this year. I have searched the web and could not find a source for timber frame sized holdfasts.  Can anyone help?

You may need to define exactly what you want. Do you have a picture?

Are you looking for a regular workbench holdfast with a long shank on it?

Dave,  I am looking for something substantial, with a long enough shank, to secure an 8x8 to my ponies.

Had a local blacksmith make a couple large holdfasts for a woodworking bench.
I use the large quick clamps for holding any larger timbers on ponies that works well.

Yes, I used clamps for my last project.  I thought the holdfasts would be more convenient. Maybe I should check with a local blacksmith.  If I have a local blacksmith.

In Rooster's post (reply #16), he provides the contact for a blacksmith who can make you a pair:
