Wife and I have been in Jamaica the past few days. While she is relaxing I am thinking of everything I need to do back home and the big pile of oak I need to cut. I stumbled on this tree at the resort and it's not helping take my mind off sawing. It's called a cotton Tree

The root flair on that tree is amazing. Do you know if that is ahardwood species?

Best I can tell its a hardwood. It is also called a Bombax or Ceiba from the searches I have done.

If you  don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else!

Impressive!  I see why its called a Cotton Tree with that cotton white protrusion growing out of the center of the root flare. ;) :D
