Changed the oil and filter about every 100 to 150 hours and always ran it a fraction over full on oil

My mill is a '95 and has a 24hp Onan, and in the engine maintenance manual it says "change the oil every 100 hours".

I do change the oil and filter every 100 hours!

At a small engine shop nearby, they suggest change the oil every 50 hours if the engine doesn't have an oil filter, every 100 hours if the engine does have an oil filter!
