Planted Lob Lolly Stand???

If i am the landowner what could I expect from the first thining of pines 15 and 20 year old tracts just as a guess.

Not much right now around here.  Pine is low, pine pulp looks up at well diggers boot heels.

Locally (NZ) hardly anyone does production thinning of pine, it's just not worth it. Stands are basically thinned "to waste" at 8 years or so, once the lift pruning is completed. While they could make pulp logs or fence posts at that age here, it would cost more to drag them out and truck them to the mill. Cheaper to pay a guy with a saw to just drop them and walk away.

Pulp logs get harvested from the top logs during the final harvest, because the tree is being dragged out tree length, so the wood is at the landing anyway. Stack it and load it.
Weekend warrior, Peterson JP test pilot, Dolmar 7900 and Stihl MS310 saws and  the usual collection of power tools :)
