I had a wireless remote on my UTV winch and it kept creeping. finally burnt out the solenoid. I decided I wanted a switch anyhow. it was to hard to work the remote with gloves on.

I had a wireless remote on my UTV winch and it kept creeping. finally burnt out the solenoid. I decided I wanted a switch anyhow. it was to hard to work the remote with gloves on.

Iv noticed the same issue with my badlands remote from HF. I burned the brake out in the 12,000# badland, so i put the solinoid box and wireless remote on my 18,000# warn. I wear tillman driving/work gloves and have to take a glove off to operate the remote. 
The corded controler crapped out on me while yarding a walnut onto my trailer, and had to disconnect the batter terminal to stop the winch, till i could dry out the contacts and finish the job. After that, i bought the wireless but it eats batteries.
