20in bar for husqvarna 240

Hi can anyone help; I am after a 20 inch bar for a husqvarna 240. I understand that it is only a small saw with small clutch but I am cutting some posts and rails with a mill attachment I have made and lose 3 1/2 inches when it's on the mill. So I wouldn't be loading the chain up fully I just need a bit more length. Any help would be appreciated.

You can sure run it but it will be slow going when you close to the max. If you have quite a bit to saw it's a lot cheaper the hire a band saw or buy a small band mill as it's real hard on a saw milling lumber. Steve

Yea it is very steady going but I'm in no rush haha. Do you know of a bar that will fit the 240e? That's what I'm after. The part number or where I can get one online? Cheers Scotty

What you are looking for is a 20" bar with the A041 mount pattern in 3/8" lo-pro. I am not really sure that exists, but it likely does?

Be aware that 3/8" lo-pro bars usually are an inch or two shorter than "called".

Anyway, my advice is to not do this - if you want to mill you need a considerably larger and better quality saw. The 240e is just a cheaply made Poulan product, not made for work like this at all......
