Looking for a solar charger for my deer feeder. Right now I have an older automotive charger hooked to the battery I use. The battery is a full size battery like you might would use for an older tractor that is still 6 volt. I only have to hook up the charger every few months but would like to move the feeder just a little bit further from the house and not have to mess with an extension cord any more. Any suggestions for a decent charger?

What brand and what do you think about it so far. How long have you had it?

I have thought several times about getting and setting one up but they are a little hard to place for me. When I first put out my feeders the leaves are on the trees and very little direct sunlight plus the mountains shade out the sites at least half the time. I just have a couple of extra batteries and rotate them around.

The sun gets to mine a little late in the morning after the sun pops over the hill but the rest of the day it has good sun.
