Sorry I have so many questions! To aid with tree I.D., getting leaves sure is helpful. (When they are growing leaves.) I was wondering how would you get leaves from a tall tree? Shotgun? Throw a line over a limb and saw it? Is this a dumb question, lol? I have actually harvested mistletoe with a shotgun, so, I guess it could surely work if you badly wanted some leaves from a certain tree, lol.

One of the extendable pole saws with lopers on the end works real good unless the tree is REAL tall to a limb.  Then you need a slingshot and a squirrel.  Just be careful how you handle the squirrel.  If your not gentile it will get squirrely on you.   ;D

I have shot down dead hanger limbs from an black oak.  12 Ga birdshot was not getting the job done.  #4 buckshoot took it down quick.
