Title: Tree ID Please (in Ohio)
Post by: Marshall7199 on July 01, 2019, 11:06:22 AM
I was fortunate to get some black walnut from the recent tornado damage.  Picked up the following piece as well.  Can you help with the identification?

Look oakish. Up here our red oak stay smooth for awhile like a beech. I've seen some still smooth after 12" diameter.

10" red oak, streams of water running down from rain today
