smiley_wavy                      smiley_wavyGood evening all, a buddy of mine recently asked me if I knew anyone buying spruce logs. He's looking at a job with roughly 300,000 + bdft of surprisingly high quality spruce ranging from 24" to 36" chest high with minimal taper standing on average of 100ft+ tall. If anyone knows of someone looking for quality spruce let me know and I'll relay the info to him. He already has a market for pulp, just trying to get some sizes and prices for logs. :) :) :)

Thanks

oops, that 46 is supposed to be 36, Ill havta change that! It was planted during the installation of some kind of underground concrete pipe and forgot about, like I said its surprisingly nice big spruce. Nicest I've ever seen around here! I'll have to see if he can get some pictures of it.

Thanks 47, I'll let him know. I realize a lot of guys cant move their pulp but luckily enough we're not having that problem yet, plus we don't do much pulp at all.. I think it's crazy how the markets are so different in states that are so close to one another.

I send my spruce to Milan lumber. They seem to have good scale and pay. I send my Hemlock to Brome in Canada, they buy spruce also, I think Milan's pays more.

I've sent all my spruce to Milan lumber in NH. Good scaling and fair prices. Really nice wood buyer who works down where I am.

Could call ward clapboard they might have better prices for the highest grade logs.

Thanks everyone for the info. Most likely it's all going to Canada.
