One of these days soon, I'm going to go out and take some pictures of trees that are bare of their leaves, and then see who can identify them just from their profile.  Could be kinda fun to pass the time until the leaves come back, and it sure would be fun to get some different trees from different parts of the country/world too for us to look at.  I sure do enjoy the different shapes of the trees, and the different profiles, but I must admit, I'm not too good at identifying them yet.  This should help though!

Paschale,

We are starting to worry about you up there - what are you doing, plucking those trees while everyone else is sleeping?  :o

Paschale,  Can we try taking the pics at night to make it more challenging? ???

Paschale, that tree in the post you are going to make looks like a white oak to me. Yes, definitely a white oak.  I can see it in the dark, with the lens cap on, before you take  the picture. Is there a prize involved in this contest?

I can see how that would happen with that pic.

The next picture in the series is a Black Cherry tree.  Surprised no one got that one right...   ;)
