Is pecan a cross tie?

yes they will buy it for ties at least they will here :)

yes, but check with the tie buyer on what to look for, defects and the like, breaking into the tie market can be humbling if you don't know the grade requirements, regardless of species.  sizes and lengths along with allowable wain changes with the demand. A trip to the buyers yard and a walk through would be worth the time.  For me pecan would not be made into a tie, for the simple reason it would bring more as lumber, if handled properly.
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,
