Just opened the box for this new machine.
So far so good but will take some getting used to.
Our 8 yr old laptop died so decided to go this route.
I will definitely get a mouse as I dislike the finger pad and the mouse for the laptop doesnt want to work.
like it OK and it automatically transferred my photos from my phone.
will probably have to ask here for help when I get stymied
We are heading out thursday to go to the roast.
Hope to see a lot of you there

Slowly getting used to this thing.
got the mouse working but it  works primarily with the right mouse button.'
I found a place in settings  to change the primary mouse button but it doesn't want to work.
Spell check works with the left button.
Any suggestions?

No suggestions from me.  I was smart and opted for a Dell Laptop and have only spent 7 months trying to get the bugs out of it.  ;D

Good luck with your new Chromebook. Both the right and left mouse buttons should be fully supported. If the left button is not working, I would suspect the mouse itself.  The switch in the left mouse button is usually the first thing that wears out.

Tried the mouse from my desk top and had the same issue

I always joke I need two computers to keep one running. In a case like you are having, I Google the issue with my phone so I can make the change on my computer. Looks like you have to modify the touchpad settings so the mouse will work.
