Just wondering if anyone has used Ol Tom tree marking paint.

"Ol' Tom Tree Marking Paint
Water soluble, non-toxic, non-flammable, these environmental friendly paints clean up easy and contain no methyl alcohol or petroleum distallates. Designed to be applied with any type of commercial tree marking applicator or air propelled sprayer."

I was under the impression you couldn't use water based paints in a marking gun... at least if you follow the directions. I would buy this in a heartbeat if I knew it wasn't going to destroy my gun.

Hey, I've been in 3 different Marden stores in Maine. Brewer, Houltan, Presque Isle.  I'm only minutes from the later two. 8)

Don't know much about marking guns but I would probably tend to avoid water based paint in marking guns in cold weather when freezing may become a problem. Petro based paints probably won't freeze up like a water based would.

Due to environmental concerns, we can only use water based paint. We have had no freezing problems during winter work.

Ron, what brand do you use? I'd rather use water based for my own well being... not just the environment.
