Jeff

I just got back after spending the last 5 days up at the cabin. Friday night Whitepe and his wife came an visited with my Sister, bruder-in-law and I. Great people. They had stopped by the mill earlier in the week and got the nickle tour and I gave them directions to the cabin from thier famiily's place. Turns out they were only a few miles away! I hope they enjoyed thier visit as much as I enjoyed having them.

Kevin came down and spent the day Sunday. Because of the language differences it was hard to talk at first, but Kevins a bright guy and caught on to english within just a few lessons. ;) We were building "Bear Condos" and Kevin jumped in to give us a hand. Before the day was over my bruder-in-law and Kevin became blood brothers. I am looking forward to getting a chance to go on up to Kevin's and put some of the Canadian language that I picked up to good use.

Kevin brought me a jug of stuff down as a gift. It says on the lable

"Sirop d'erable pur"  Produit du Canada.  Kevin, thanks! I wasnt sure what it was to begin with, but as it turns out it is the best chainsaw bar oil that we have ever tried.  :)

Thanks for coming down Kevin, this was my vacation for the summer and I enjoyed the company.

That bar oil is the high grade stuff, good enough to soak your pancakes in.
Thanks for the invite and all the hospitalization!
I looked at the map when I got back and if you head across to Lime Island on the north side of the Island and go due east you`ll run up on my shoreline property on St. Joseph Island.
I`m directly across from Lime Island just a little south of Hay Point.
Just a couple of cormorants away from that pier we were at.
You`re so close there you might just be Canadian, eh?

Was it clear and made with corn and sugar?.

Woodman,

You talking doubled and twisted?  Hope they used a thump barrel and filter------that fusil oil is rough.

Grandad's family sawmilled.  Grandma's family marketed corn.

I`m not done looking at that one yet.  ;D

I think Jeff underestimated about the nickle tour. I think it
was the dollar tour.  I want to thank Jeff's boss, Ray Billsby
for letting us visit the mill.  Watching Jeff make logs
levitate thru the circle mill was a blast.  Kinda puts
my LT15 in the minor league.  Jeff sawed more logs in
about 15 minutes than I have all summer :D

I also had a great time meeting Jeff's sister and
bruder-in-law at their cabin. I hated to leave.
I don't know about the bear condos cuz all I saw
was fast-food restaurants for the bears.  The whole time
Jeff was showing me around I kept thinking about
Bear Claw Grizlap from the movie Jeremiah Johnson
saying "Skin em up pilgrim, and I'll get you another"

Jeff also told me a lot about his good friend Kevin
from Soo Canada. I took a good look at Kevin's
web site and his LT15 on snow skis.  We don't get enough
snow down here in ILLINOY to warrant using skis. I'll
just stick with wheels.  By the way, is the Aunt Jemima
bar oil bio-degradable? I'll have to start using that stuff.
If Jeff says it's good stuff, that good enough for me.
That stuff is made from trees isn't it? Since it
is made from trees it oughta be good for sawing trees  :D

On the serious side, Jeff, his sister and brother-in-law
are great people.  I really enjoyed visiting with them

Jeff,

You told me about your Father's deer antlers
hanging on your cabin wall but I didn't see the moose
antlers.  Did you put those antlers up Saturday?
How did you get Kevin to stand "centered" right
under the antlers?  :D :D
By the way I didn't know that you had any purple
"meese" up there. All I knew about was Babe the
Blue Ox.

Kevin,
I wish that I would have gotten to meet you cause
Jeff sure said a lot of good things about you.  :)
I saw your website and it looks like you are keeping
your LT15 busy.
