When I calculate lumber volume using a log scale, say International 1/4", what dimension of lumber does that pertain to? If I was to saw out 4/4 boards versus 2x framing lumber, I would get a different yield. If the log scales 100 bd-ft, is that 100 feet of 4/4, 2x, or a composite of different thicknesses? Thanks.
