E-mail test

Just trying to find a way to send myself an e-mail and through this forum is the only way that comes to mind.  Sorry if I have done something wrong here.

Nope, it shouldnt. The software is smart enough to know it does not have to notify you that you made a post. :)

All you have to do to test your email or send yourself an email is go into Outlook and add your email address in the 'TO' box, write Test in the Subject line, write 'This is only a test' in the text box  and hit send. You should get your email almost instantly by hitting send/recieve again. You don't need the forum to do it.

Maybe your wondering about notify of replies? Just post to an active thread and hit 'Additional Options' and click on notify, or just open an active thread an hit on notify without making a new post in it.
