One of my industrial customers has been building pulling tractors for many years. His daughter pulls this one it's a real family effort and they have done  very well.

Is that 5 V8s in that thing?  Im not well versed in that type of machine but it looks as much like a tractor as a nascar looks "stock."

Boy, back in my day..

The tractor only weighs 7700 lbs and is about 12000 hp. Very impressive work done in his own shop.

Does it come in a 4WD model?

I'm not so sure them front wheels would do anything if they had power to em anyhow  :D :D
Boy, back in my day..

Hmmm.....  very impressive but since they are calling it a tractor you have to wonder how many passes up and down a field it would make before running out of fuel  :D :)

"Tractor" has the same Latin root as "Traction". The Latin word (trahere) means "to drag".

I'd say that machine can definitely drag ;D.

I did not know that.  You learn something new everyday.   :P
Say when

Bark Beetle

That is awesome! Its only 480 to 600 times the horse power of my Farmall Super A. I think you would only have to set chokers once a day and you could have a lot of logs back at once Ford_man. :D
You don't work wood, you work with wood.

Brucer the word tractor was first used by the Hart Parr company in 1906 when they hooked old # 1 to a plow .

 :P

Apparently, it was earlier than that. In 1903 Hart & Parr combined the words "traction" and "power" to create the word "tractor". That's interesting because it shows exactly how the word was derived.

I see 5 intakes, but with that rig, who knows.  On Kbeitz's rig, I see one "not-V8".

That looks real pretty, but I like the antique pulls that we have every summer in my town. They all are 1950 or older and the drivers are from 8 to 80 years old.. Here is a short video and some pics of last years pull.  :)
