my craftsman rewide spring died
and it replaced it , now it snaps back nice
BUT the small spring out feet wont grab the plastic knob to turn the engine over
i took it back apart and the feet spring fine and the knob isnt worn at all
any ideas?
nm guys
i fixed it
but its still a craftsman , anyone have good at advice on fixing old remmingtons?
From what I have heard about them, Crapsmen with problems belong in the dumpster! ???
Did Remington make your Craftsman? Does it have the FM rewind with the spring loaded shoes and fiber washers? Check with a Stihl dealer, the early 08S and the 090's used the same system.
I have had my craftsmem for about 7years on and have had no problems.
Thannks Alot Mr Mom
HA HA, I was just joking - it all depend on who made the Crapsman in question.
I've had that problem. I oil them up. Maybe some of that Rust Reaper stuff would work!! It works well on them. THen pull the rope a few times until they start springing out again.
