Hello everyone,

I've come into some Virgina pine this week.  Several trees blown down in last storm.  Size range is 18-24" diameter.  Will this species make suitable framing lumber for my workshop I plan on building?  I'm new to sawing and have not sawn pine before so any pointers or advise will be appreciated.

Thanks
Don

I've sawed lots of it.  It makes great framing lumber and side boards for board & batten siding.   My new barn (under construction) is framed with it.

Thats a nice size for Virginia pine.  It doesn't get much bigger.     Use lots of blade lube.
Been there, done that.   Never got caught [/b]
Retired and not doing much anymore and still not getting caught
